Art

Your child will learn how to manipulate materials, develop hand-eye coordination and muscle strength. They are also encouraged to have fun and be their naturally curious, silly selves within the subject matter choices. While we do some guided craft and art, most of the work that will come home will be full of childlike line, color choice and exuberance for life. This builds your child's confidence in their ability and willingness to accept a less than perfect line.

Older students will work less on understanding what materials are and how to use them, but instead, become proficient at the use and application of problem solving within their compositions and application of materials.

Program Goals:

• Foster thinkers and creators that are confident problem solvers
• Help children to discover that the arts are a gift from God and a beautiful quiet place to worship and hear from our Creator
• Receive an hour of art instruction per week
