Environmental Education
At Queen of Peace, we believe in fostering a deep connection with the natural world while equipping our students with essential 21st-century science skills.
Our Environmental Education program, available to all K-5 students, is thoughtfully designed to inspire curiosity, a love for learning, and stewardship for God’s creation.
Led by a part-time Environmental Education teacher, the program is aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). This ensures our students engage in real-world scientific inquiry and application.
Each grading period, every grade level participates in:
STEM Lab Learning: Pre- and post-lesson activities take place in our state-of-the-art STEM lab, where students are introduced to core concepts and reflect on their findings.
Field Study Excursions: Students venture out on hands-on field trips to explore and study the natural world. These immersive experiences bring science to life, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
By combining classroom instruction, hands-on exploration, and real-world application, our Environmental Education program helps students grow as lifelong learners and responsible stewards of the environment.
