Expanding Opportunities at Queen of Peace School

In 2023, Queen of Peace School added 10,000 square feet of new learning space to our campus. By 2024, we expanded further, adding another 5,000 square feet. These enhancements brought us nine new classrooms and a state-of-the-art STEM lab, transforming the educational experience for our students.

Five of these new classrooms and the STEM lab are currently being utilized for:

  • Preschool
  • Kindergarten
  • Fourth Grade
  • Fifth Grade
  • Extendedl Care
  • Science and Environmental Education

Phase 1: Building a Foundation for Growth

The journey began in June 2022, with the groundbreaking of Phase 1 of our building plan. This milestone delivered significant upgrades:

South Side Expansion: Three new classrooms and two single-use bathrooms now serve our preschool and one of our two kindergarten classes.


North Side Expansion: A 1,600-square-foot STEM lab was added, featuring garage doors that open to the courtyard. This innovative space is perfect for environmental education and collaborative technology use. Across the hall, we added two additional classrooms for fourth and fifth grades, along with a multi-use bathroom, a single-use bathroom, and extra storage.
 

On June 6, 2023, Archbishop Sample blessed these new spaces during his visit, marking a joyous milestone for our school community.
 

Phase 2: Growing Even More

Phase 2 of our expansion began in the winter of 2024, with the addition of four new classrooms. These new spaces provide room for two classes of each grade level and were completed just in time for the 2024-2025 school year, allowing us to meet the needs of our growing student body.

The second part of Phase 2 will include:

A dedicated space for music, art, and childcare, which will also serve as a youth center for our parish on nights and weekends.


A covered outdoor sports court, an exciting addition that we are actively fundraising for to make it a reality.
